Heather’s philosophy:
“It is important for me to connect with my members, making them feel comfortable and accepted no matter their age or size. We only achieve our goals and get our bodies strong when our minds are strong. Don’t confuse motion and progress. A rocking horse keeps moving but does not make any progress. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get moving!!”

Linda Dalke

About Linda…
Linda moved to the Willamette Valley in 1987 to begin her teaching career. Her work with children has taken many forms—from full time in the classroom to private piano and reading instruction to summer literacy programs. An artist at heart, Linda has enjoyed being commissioned to write commemorative songs for various non-profit entities. Aside from yoga, her free time is filled with music, reading, writing poetry, gardening, and hiking. And since life is lived well through purposeful integration, these experiences find their way into the yoga studio through story and practice.

Favorite Quote:
“Dare to declare who you are. It is not far from the shores of silence to the boundaries of speech. The path is not long, but the way is deep. You must not only walk there, you must be prepared to leap.” ~ Hildegard of Bingen

Jaclyn Shinkle

Group Fitness Instructor

Education:
AFAA certified group fitness instructor, RIPPED certified instructor

Classes by Jaclyn:
Spin
Body Blast

One health tip from Jaclyn…
“Do what you love to do. If you love running, then run. If you love spinning, then spin. If you love weight lifting, lift. Just move your body everyday. Don’t be afraid to indulge in rest days and cheat meals every now and then. Learn to love exercise by doing the kind of exercise you love. Don’t focus on the scale so much. If and when you make exercise a natural part of your life, like breathing or blinking, you will be happier, healthier, and you’ll receive the added bonus of weight loss.”

Jaclyn’s favorite thing about the MFC community…
“I love the members the most. I could workout alone anywhere I want, but here I get to receive support and almost an extended family. Some of my dearest friends I’ve met here at MFC.”

Franki’s favorite thing about the MFC community…
“Absolutely everything! My parents became members of MFC the day we opened. My birthday gift for my 10th birthday was a membership. MFC has always been home to me. But, if I had to choose on thing, it would be our group fitness classes. I love group fitness. I love the idea of it, I love the energy of it, I love the community of it, and I especially love MFC’s group fitness. “
